Sanctuary
Precious ones,
There is not one of you who does not a need a sanctuary. Whether aware of it or not, you seek
to find a sanctuary throughout your lives.
You seek to create a sanctuary in your home. Perhaps you find a town, which is to you a sanctuary,
or a church. Some look for another to be their sanctuary, for a relationship to be a safe harbor.
Some seem to find it in an occupation. To some their sanctuary is momentary, such as when visiting a dream,
or spending time in a garden, or taking a bath. You say "this is my sanctuary".
Of course, somewhere, you all know, your sanctuary is within you. Your sanctuary is the moment when
the external becomes quiet and you get to spend time with you.
You are your own sanctuary. Your house, your garden, your spouse, your bubble bath, is what brings you
to your sanctuary. Which allows you to spend time with you.
Some look for a sanctuary in drugs or alcohol, or other addictive behavior. They do not find it, which
is why the behavior is addictive, as one keeps trying.
It is well to be aware that the pursuit for sanctity is a primal one. Creating a time and a space where
you may commune with you, should not be low on your list of things. It should also not be something you
perceive belongs to others.
There is plenty of sanctity within you. Plenty, plenty, plenty.
This concludes this reading.
