November 2009
Greetings everyone,
As planned, me and Bob went to Boston to see Gregg Braden, Bruce Lipton and Alberto Villoldo
and it was Amazing. The chemistry between those three, and the humor, not to mention their insights
and understanding of the topics, which were - these tumultuous times, what they mean and what to do...
You know what it felt like? It felt like one of those moments when you can picture your grandchildren
looking up at you with admiration and wonderment gasping “You were there?! You saw them in person?!”
It felt like that, like one of those pivotal, historical moments.
The event was called "Choice Point 2012" and you can find more information about it at:

I took many, many things from this workshop, however what I’d like to share with you is the study
that Bruce talked about, which gave me a deeper understanding of the programs that we run in our subconscious.
Not until we are 6 years old do we have a conscious mind. During our first six years we live in a
hypnagogic state, and what we do at this time, is download the programs. Not until we have enough programs
downloaded can we begin to assemble our personal understanding of reality.
These programs then run in the background and are not affected by our change in beliefs.
For instance – when I was little my brother used to say, “Is She coming?! That’ll ruin Everything!”
So all the way up until my mid forties I would promptly get ill any time I was to go join a group of
people. I had no clue why, and nothing I did seemed to change it.
See my adult self knew that those are the things that brothers say. My adult self knew that what
he said wasn’t true. Consciously I had completely forgotten about it. All the same, the program was
still running. It had never been uninstalled.
It was through self-hypnosis that I discovered this belief in my subconscious, and realized that I'd
gotten myself sick because I did not want to ruin it for everyone. I had believed my brother, and I'd
been finding ways to keep others "safe" from me for a very long time. It was in that hypnotic state
that I was able to uninstall it, live more in accordance with my present beliefs, and... geese... stay
healthy even if I was going to meet with people.
Another perk is that now that I understand a little more about the workings of the mind I don't have
to feel so stupid. We are suppose to download our beliefs for the first six years, and we are suppose
to operate from these programs. It is how nature intended, and most of the time it actually works quite well.
hmmm.... Computer System Utility Programs, they're very helpful now aren't they, with De-fragmenter,
Register Cleaners... now if we periodically did that with our minds... imagine where we could go :)
Be well,
Maia

Introductory Workshops to Shamanism

Shamanism is a belief-system, not a religion. It is the oldest belief-system we know of, and it predates
all organized religions, hence it stands well on its own, while also complementing any world religion you
may subscribe to.
At the heart of Shamanic beliefs is the notion that everything has a spirit, and that all spirits are of
equal value. A glass is not half full, nor is it half empty... it is always full. Half of the glass contains
the spirit of the water, and the other half, the spirit of the air. There is a reverence and appreciation
for all of life's expression, there is acceptance and gratitude. Each person's journey is celebrated and...
there are tools :) Wonderful, practical tools to help us all on this journey called life.
~ The Shaman's Inner Journey ~
This workshop is about self discovery through a form of Guided Meditation. No previous experience, or
ability to meditate is necessary.
Sunday November 1, from 2pm to 3:30pm. (Cost $10)
Gilead, Connecticut.
~ The Shaman's Money ~
The goal of this workshop is to help us better understand how our underlying beliefs about money play
out in our lives, and how to create the changes we desire.
These underlying beliefs were most often created in our early years and run in the background, much like
some programs run in the background on our computers.
Apart from learning about the energetic workings of money, through listening and sharing, this workshop
also includes hands on exercises and tools to bring home.
Time to be determined. If interested please contact me through the contact information at the bottom of
this email. (Cost $30)
Gilead, Connecticut.

HOLIDAYS
There are some facts about energy alignment, that if correctly understood would greatly reduce
the amount of stress some people are feeling regarding the holidays.
The holidays are about tradition and tradition is about giving people a sense of continuity, belonging,
and security. The good side about holidays is that it gives people a framework within which to connect
with each other, to take a moment to interact and to slow down. The negative side is when people try to
create specific feelings by recreating the elements which lastly produced these feelings.
Feelings of contentment, of belonging, feelings of abundance and love… these all had to do with your
own alignment with your own inner source. As children you had, for the most part, easier access to your
own inner alignment, and this is where your first idea of what the holiday was to bring to you emerged,
however as adults, as you try to recreate the same conditions, you often fall short of the emotions you
experienced as children, emotions which you contribute to the outer circumstances.
This is why often times you end up with a sense of being pulled in different directions come the holidays.
Your feelings regarding financial demands, pull you in one direction, the thoughts of how your children
will be experiencing the holidays, draw you in another. Meeting with some relatives brings a sense of warmth,
meeting with others brings on a sense of discord.
Many of you, as you try to recreate “the holiday spirit”, which you hope will bring you a sense of
stability and joy, you sacrifice your own inner alignment and end up creating the very opposite.
My advice to you is to use the holidays as a focus. Be clear about your focus. What emotions are you
desiring? Do you wish to feel more connected, to feel more alive, to feel more love? Then be equally
clear and realistic about what might bring this about, realizing that all emotions spring from within you,
and are not the orchestration from scenarios around you.
Write out your “shoulds and musts – list” and ask yourself what items on the list are in alignment with
who you are? It may be that some items need to be modified or excluded.
Set your attention that your alignment with you is at the forefront, and you will quickly realize how
everyone around you greatly benefit from this. It may very well be one of the most loving things you do
for the holidays.
This concludes this reading. In our hearts you rest, as we send you love.
