Molly's Musings

Molly Lynd

Greetings,

It has been brought to my attention that the two-legged ones dwelling on the premises seem to be more engaged in doing, rather than in being.

This puzzles me and I have given it a great deal of thought. Last night I sent a dream to my humans. I gave them this:

A train... the main parts of a train are the rails and the locomotive. The rails concern themselves with the direction. They've cleared boulders, trees and other obstacles. They've work really hard making sure the ride will be enjoyable.

Then there is the locomotive. The locomotive does not concern itself with anything but movement. The locomotive trusts that the rails have done a good job.

Are you seeing where I'm going with this?

You want to be the locomotive, you don't want to be the rails. You want the universe to be the rails. All you want to do is focus on your energy and your vibration. Doing that which excites and moves you. Following your bliss. Trusting the direction. Trusting that the universe is paving your way and that all you need to do is keep the energy flowing.

When you try to be the rails, you get in your own way and the locomotive slows way down, making you feel stuck.

You are not the rails, and you do not do a good job of being the rails. You fill yourself with doubts, and doubts don't flow. "Am I in the right place?" "Am I doing the right thing?" "Should I go here... or there?" "How can I change this person so they go along with my rails?" "What do I need to do to make this happen?".....

A lot of doing, and not very much being.

If you get a sense of what I'm trying to say here then you'll also get a sense of how to be the locomotive.... and how to trust the universe to be the rails.

My New Years Resolution? To be :)

What's yours?

Sincerely,

Molly

Wise words from Octuvious

Octuvious

Pesistence

In most societies on this planet, persistence is highly regarded. It is thought to show strength, will, cunning, and a sense of trust in ones endeavor and a belief in ones direction... it is however a one man show.

You, yourself have the idea, and then, no matter what the universe says, you pursue it bullheadedly until, through sheer persistence, it is thought that the universe will yield to you... doesn't sound so appealing, now does it? And furthermore, if you think about it, does it work?

Leaders who have many strings to pull and who believe in following their own ideas and persist, generally do not do so well for their country.

Then there is the persistence of those who endure hardship and keep their hurt and anger all inside, muddling their way through a landscape of guilt and self reproach... persisting.

To persist is to ignore your own emotions and your own intuition.
To persist is to love an idea more than the present moment.
To persist is to lend a deaf ear and a blind eye to those around you, pursuing an illusion in hopes that the illusion will give you worth.
To persist is to be out of tune with the changes of life.

Connect with the source of abundance that dwells within you and you will recognize that your power is immense and all things which are your focus flow to you effortlessly. There is nothing ever that needs to be persisted.

This concludes this reading. In our hearts you rest,
as we send you love.

Meditation Inspiration

Love & Gratitude by Dr. Emoto

Meeting in spirit from wherever we are.

Sunday January 10, 8:00am to 8:30am.

This month's focus is from a passage from Eckhart Tolles' book -Oneness With All Life:

Is it possible to let go of the belief that you should or need to know who you are?
In other words, can you cease looking to conceptual definitions to give you a sense of self?
Can you cease looking to thought for an identity?

Series of Introductory Workshops into Shamanism

Maia Lynd in Peru

"To the Shaman the Cup is Always Full"

Please note that Shamanism is a belief-system, not a religion. It is the oldest belief-system we know of, and it predates all organized religions, hence it stands well on its own, while also complementing any world religion you may subscribe to.

At the heart of Shamanic beliefs is the notion that everything has a spirit, and that all spirits are of equal value. A glass is not half full, nor is it half empty... it is always full. Half of the glass contains the spirit of the water, and the other half, the spirit of the air. There is a reverence and appreciation for all of life's expression, there is acceptance and gratitude. Each person's journey is celebrated and... there are tools :) Wonderful, practical tools to help us all on this journey called life.

~ The Shaman's Money ~

The goal of this workshop is to help us better understand how our underlying beliefs about money play out in our lives, and how to create the changes we desire.

These underlying beliefs were most often created in our early years and run in the background, much like some programs run in the background on our computers.

Apart from learning about the energetic workings of money, this workshop includes hands on exercises and practical tools.

Sunday February 21, from 2pm to 4pm. (Cost $20)

Pre-registration Required by 02/17/09. Please note that space is limited.

All workshops held at Susan's Fine Salon & Gathering.

To sign up please contact Maia Lynd directly.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Snow on Branches

I wish you all the best for the Holidays and a wonderful 2010. My gift to you is a quote:

Life is a series of spontaneous and natural changes. Don't resist them - that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.

Lao Tzu - Chinese philosopher from the Sixth Century B.C.

And may I add; Be kind. Be kind to yourself and to others. There is noting like kindness to warm the soul. :)

Maia

PS. I'm playing with the idea of creating a Poetry Night where people can come and share their own and others poetry. Thought I'd check in to see if this is this something that might interest you.
