Movies to Spark our Curiosity, Expand our Minds

An Inspirational movie is shown every first Saturday of the month, from 6:30pm to 9:00pm, at the Shoreline Center for Wholistic Health in Guilford, CT.

Same movie is shown every Third Saturday of the month, from 6:30pm-9:00pm, at Susan's Fine Salon & Gathering in East Haddam, CT.

$5 Donation.

This month's movie will be:
"The Secret" - Presenting "The Law of Attraction" in a documentary format.

It will be showing Saturday, April 3 in Guilford, and Saturday April 17 in East Haddam.

Please note that Shamanism is a belief-system, not a religion. It is the oldest belief-system we know of, and it predates all organized religions, hence it stands well on its own, while also complementing any world religion you may subscribe to.

At the heart of Shamanic beliefs is the notion that everything has a spirit, and that all spirits are of equal value. A glass is not half full, nor is it half empty... it is always full. Half of the glass contains the spirit of the water, and the other half, the spirit of the air. There is a reverence and appreciation for all of life's expression, there is acceptance and gratitude. Each person's journey is celebrated and... there are tools :) Wonderful, practical tools to help us all on this journey called life.

The aim for this workshop is to look at the value of Ceremony and how we may apply this knowledge and create life affirming ceremonies in our own life.

Please wear appropriate clothing for outdoors.

Inner Peace

It is often thought that to be peaceful one must not be challenged by life in that moment. One is peaceful when there is little noise around, no people, (or only peaceful people), no tasks and no intrusions… this then is a peaceful moment.

It is true that you came here to know yourselves, and it is true that with that you came here to find your own inner peace, however, you did not come here not to be involved in life. You did not come here asking the universe to please make sure nothing would happend and there’d be nothing for you to do, so as to assure yourself a peaceful existence. Had this been your desire, you would have come here as... actually, you would not have come here.

Consciousness expands, it does not stand still, and so to be at peace is to be at peace with this expansion. To be at peace with the obstacles of life; annoying people and mishaps, sorrows, and loss. For you see the expansion is caused by the asking, and the asking is brought forth through the experiences.

To be at peace is in truth to be present. There is Peace in no other place than at the heart of the present moment. Do know, and know it well, that Peace abounds at the heart of Every moment.

June 20 - a Shamanic Ceremony in Killingworth honoring Fathers on Father's Day.
