Welcome
I invite you in, and you are most welcome to join me here, on these pages, as I aim to inspire.
You know, when I was little, we're talking five, six years old, I was asked what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I told them I wanted to be old and wise.
I have since revised this statement. The old part had to go quite a few years ago, and the wise part... well...
it's sort of bottomless, now isn't it?
Today, my aspiration is to live an inspired life. I figured, if you live an inspired life, you can't go wrong.
Be well, know grace, and hold peace in your hearts,

Maia's Musings
At church the other day, the topic was love; what it is, and isn't, how we show it, and not. It occurred to
me that love has to do with feeling connected, doesn't it?
As questions came up as to what might be the opposite of love, and as we struggled with this, the thought
came to me that Love is who we are, and that the opposite would depend on the degree to which we feel
disconnected from ourselves.
What we love we connect with, and the deeper we connect the deeper we love, for the deeper we love,
the more we know ourselves.
So when you encounter a sorrow, or a misfortune, or people who... just drive you nuts, bringing yourself to
a place of feeling connected will always bring a sense of relief.
It may come about by acknowledging that seed within another which is you, or it may be a matter of going
out into nature and feeling your connection with the Earth, or perhaps finding yourself connecting with your past
by sitting in a familiar and nurturing place.
Now here's a thought; what if we focused on connecting instead of focusing on loving? Isn't it true that
sometimes when we aspire to love someone we end up loving with our minds rather than our hearts? However,
when we connect we automatically engage the heart.
What if we got love all wrong? What if it's not something we do, but something we are? And what if, by feeling
connected, we recognize this... what if love is nothing more, and nothing less, than a recognition? ...hm...

Wise words from Octuvious
Cententment
Dear ones,
Contentment is a good concept to sit with. Mull it over in your head and see how you feel about it. Are contented
people unintelligent, or perhaps very intelligent? Have they found a truth, or are they too lazy to look? To be content,
does this mean to have no drive, no inner flame? Is contentment boring, or do you perhaps think of it as an unattainable
dream?
How you feel about Contentment says a lot about how comfortable you are in being intimate with You.
Living life in a constant state of contentment is not something we would suggest you’d aspire to. However we
would suggest you make its acquaintance, and visit on a regular basis. Find pockets of contentment in your daily lives,
find moments of just being, and being fine with what is. You will not be fine with what is all the time. The majority of
you did not come here to sit on a Lilly pad. Most of you came here to live life with all its ups and downs.
All the same, like a vitamin pill, we suggest you take a dose of Contentment at least three times a day.
This concludes this reading. In our hearts you rest,
as we send you love.

This Month's Quote
This excerpt is from Neale Donald Walsch's book - The New Revelations - A Conversation with God.
"I have a wonderful story to tell, it's about this boy who keeps sneaking off into the woods for a moment or
two every day. His father becomes concerned. What could the boy be doing out there every single day? One day
the father asks the boy, "Why are you spending so much time in those woods? And the boy replies, "To be closer
to God."
"Well," says the father, relieved, "you don't have to go into the woods to do that. God is everywhere. God is no
different in the forest than out here in the rest of the world."
"Yes, father," smiles the boy, "but in the woods, I am different.""
